Success at the yearling sales

Deva Racing attended the August St. Ledger Yearling Sales at Doncaster and are delighted with their purchase of two exciting colts by the leading sires Kyllachy and Orpen. Both horses have gone into pre training prior to joining Nicky Vaughan and the team at Manor House. Our bloodstock agent Johnny McKeever of Mckeever St. Lawrence did a fantastic job in securing two top-class horses at a price owners will be excited by. One of our purchases was a Kyllachy colt bred by the National Stud. They have very kindly sent us a few of their photos of the colt when young (picture). For full details see the Available Horses Page.

Kyllachy Filly- Naming

The Deva Racing Kyllachy Partnership have now named their horse, she will race as Kyllachy Magic. The owners attended a champagne naming ceremony at Manor House stables at which the trainer Nicky Vaughan announced the winning name. The owners at Manor House are privileged to be able to drive alongside the horses on the gallops to get a unique view of their horse at work. This special experience gives owners a real insight into the speed of the horses. The filly is now working towards her first race in September.

Kyllachy Filly

The Kyllachy filly, pictured ahead of a gallop, is now in the final stages of her preparations for her maiden race. The filly is really impressing on the gallop and the owners are excitedly awaiting her racecourse debut. We are in the process of naming the filly and prospective owners have until 11th July 2008 to purchase a share if they want to be part of the naming process. All owners will suggest a name and then a vote will decide the chosen name. As this is a classy filly a classy name would be appropriate.

Iron Mask

The owners of the two year old colt have been voting on a name for the horse. The winning name was announced by our trainer, Nicky Vaughan at a Champagne naming ceremony at the yard. The name chosen for the horse is IRON MAX. The horse is named after the grandson of one of her owners. Max and his family really enjoy coming to the yard to see there horse in action. Unfortunately the horse could not join in the celebrations as he had picked up a slight knock ahead of his first run. With a couple of shares still available there is an opportunity for you to join in the thrill of ownership with Deva Racing. Some of our owners are pictured with the newly named Iron Max.
