A six-year-old daughter of Vadamos, Pink Socks is set to continue her career with successful dual-purpose trainer Ian Williams in Worcestershire. She was previously trained in Ireland, where she won a 1m Gowran handicap in June 2024.

That single success only tells a fraction of the story, however, as Pink Socks has proven herself to be a tough, consistent and reliable performer over several seasons. She has finished runner-up on no less than six occasions, on both turf and all-weather, and was previously rated as high as 67, yet her most recent Irish mark was below 50.

Having joined a trainer adept at getting the best out of his horses year-round, Pink Socks looks poised to make hay on the all-weather this winter. It is also worth noting that she is a half-sister to the multiple Gr.2-placed jumper Arnaud, should she ever be sent over obstacles.

Following a slow start to the current season, Pink Socks finished third over 1m1½f at Clonmel in September and a creditable fifth when tackling the same trip at Gowran in October, so we know that she has been running into form. With more options for her in the British programme, it is only a matter of time before she is back in the winner’s enclosure.
