Von Krolock is a 6-year-old gelding and a winner already, previously trained in Ireland by Timothy Doyle. A strong, genuine performer who handles the all-weather well, he promises to be a fun and reliable runner through the winter bonus campaign.

Formerly rated 66, Von Krolock is another well-handicapped recruit to the team. Having spent his entire career with one trainer whose five-year strike rate sits at just 7%, he now joins a yard known for revitalising horses and unlocking new levels of performance. Hardy, consistent, and proven on synthetic surfaces, he looks poised to take a real step forward in his new environment.

Operating from his state-of-the-art base in Newmarket, James Owen will train Von Krolock and has fast established himself as one of the country’s most exciting dual-purpose trainers. His results speak for themselves — more than 250 winners, a 20% strike-rate in top-level National Hunt races, and major success on the Flat, including Gr.2 Royal Lodge Stakes and Listed race victories. His record with ex-Irish horses in particular has been exceptional, and Von Krolock looks another who could really thrive under his care.
